I found the opposite with the bracket band. I played a Balladeer and a
Minstrel. The Balladeer had, IMHO, a slightly "fuller" sound. Which
(depending on what you like) could be a good or bad thing! Point is though,
they were both fine sounding banjos!!! I was pretty surprised...ordered a
Heirloom, should be in around the middle of July...the wait is killing me
already!!!!

Received my first Wildwood on Monday.....bought the Heirloom.
I am a three finger player and it took some time to set it up for that.
But, it is wonderful for Scruggs style.
Mike, you were correct. It took a bit of getting used to....wide neck and
all, but after the first night, I adjusted.
I went with a 5/8 snuffy smith, compensated and crowe spaced bridge over the
stock one. All the difference in the world for what I want to do.
I am now a tubaphone convert.
