Hello, I work for the LA Philharmonic and wanted to make sure LA-area
banjo players were aware of iconic comedian Steve Martin's upcoming
concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Oct. 28th. This is his
first public show in Los Angeles in decades, and follows his recent
sold-out performance at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.

LA Phil Presents Steve Martin Performing With the Steep Canyon
Rangers: An Evening of Bluegrass & Banjo
Wednesday, October 28, 8pm at Walt Disney Concert Hall

Iconic comedian Steve Martin makes a very special appearance at Walt
Disney Concert Hall to perform songs from his new album, The Crow: New
Songs for the Five-String Banjo, currently on top of the Billboard
Bluegrass Album Chart. Having won a Grammy for his collaboration with
Earl Scruggs on Foggy Mountain Breakdown in 2001, this will be the
accomplished instrumentalist’s first public show in Los Angeles in
decades, and follows his recent sold-out performance at Nashville’s
Grand Ole Opry.

The Crow is a pretty good CD. I play it a lot here. Also have the music book
(banjo tabs). What an amazing man.
If you can't make it, at least listen to his CD.

Shane.
