RCV: Sure you can drop Jaheira and Khalid... and should do so as
quickly as possible! :) Drop them, keep Imoen and get Ajantis and
Branwen. Branwen is a better Cleric than Jaheira is a Druid, and
Ajantis's Paladin abilities are much more useful than Khalid's low
morale... :)
Dump the married couple as soon as you can and get some REAL NPCs to
help you out. ^_^
Rich
It would help if you mentioned who you wanted to drop her for.

Just wanted to say that I loved that song. If anyone has the MP#, let me
know.

If you don't have a save game from before the change in class, you
don't.

Frankly I would drop Jahira and get any number of good clerics later on, like
Yeslik in Cloakwood mines, or Quayle outside Balders Gate.
There are any number of fighters you can use for Kahlid, but if you want to keep
him, go to Beregost, and go into a house alone with Jahira and leave her there
and just drop her later, Khalid won't object.
But Imoen is too valuable to loose, in the mines at Nashkel, in the Cloakwood
mines, in the first cloakwood forest, all of those have traps and she finds them
very well.

By dualling her to mage so early you have limited her effectiveness as a
thief. That on its own is not too bad but I would never have chosen
Invoker as the specialist class for her. To give up TWO opposition
classes that include Shield / Armour / Melf's Arrow / Flame Arrow /
Holding spells and Monster Summoning spells is quite a sacrifice for the
extra spell per level.

"Across the red rimmed land, tears still run.
As it fades into the setting sun."
The quote from my .sig file comes from the song Star Trekkin' by The Firm, a
rather amusing Star Trek parody song which was popular around ten years ago.
I've got it on tape, but I've no idea if there's an MP3 of it available.

My curent team, which works great for me is :
Kivan - level 6 (archer - equiped with my favorite - fire arrows)
Yeslick - level 6 (more healing & defensive spells)
Imoen - level 7 (thievery, lock picking, detecting traps)
Minsc - level 6 (to carry the heavy stuff)
Dynaheir - level 6 (offensive spells)
Yeah, I have a lot of archers/rangers but my enemies never even get close
enough to strike me. My first real challenge is in the top floor of the
Iron Throne in Baldur's Gate... that is where I currently am.
