Joining the Bandits/Tranzig & Tazok Question

loving this game,
playing it at a nice pace in multiplayer mode,
using three multiclassed DRoW Thiefs,
its harder with fewer characters,
but with Multi-classed dudes, it takes the sting out of the point-spread !!
Anyway, not really having a problem just that I'm curious about a certain
'plot-thread'
Confronted Tranzig on 1st floor Felderposts Inn/Beregost
Did a pick-pocket on him first, then entered dialogue, then fight, then plee
for life + Bandit camp info, then I let him go !!
(It seems like most people kill Tranzig, but after seeing him sqirming for
his life, I took pity on him . . )
Has anybody else let Tranzig live ??
Made my way to Larswood entered dialogue with speaking bandit, and was taken
to bandit camp, where I had a little fight with Tazok, who decided I was OK
and let me free in the camp, before he disappeared off on a mission . . . .
. anyway I laid waste to the camp in his absence, got the Cloakwood info
from the man in Tazok's tent, but I didn't see the big-man himself ??
Where did Tazok go ??
(He's got the gauntlets of weapon mastery right??)

Gauntlets are in Firewine Bridge. On some punch who thinks he's a badass.

you may still kill Tazok at the bandit camp but you will have to do alot of
damage in a very short time. I did it with the wand of frost, speed of oil, and
surrounding him with summoned undead that keep him from walking away once he
decides to go. But he will just disappear after a couple of seconds so you will
have to count on luky rolls in order to do enough damage before he vanishes.

If you let him flee after he spills the Bandit-Camp beans, does he resurface
at any point?.
