I want to play BG with a friend over the internet, but I can't get it
to work. It simply won't connect.
Anyone knows with could be wrong? I'm on ISDN, and my friend's on
cable, and transfering files goes at a pretty good speed, so it's not
a lag.

What program are you using to connect to a BG server? I have trouble
at times when I use Kali, but no problems when I use gamespy.

Isn't Kali pretty much Not needed with newer games (TCPIP) isn't it for
IPX games (IPX is really not routable over the internet!) so It incases it
in a TCPIP packet and then sends it out.... Most games now are TCPIP there
for not needed

Now... for the orginator!.....For one use multi player & both connected to
the internet! :) then determine who will be the server (cable user will be
better) ask him his IP then type it in where it ask for the server
address... Though he should be in the Multiplayer game standing around
waiting for ya!
