Matthew McConnahey(sp?) the actor, is also not not long for the the
realm of lovely locks. Call me petty, but it always warms the cockles
of my heart when a former posterboy-type loses his hair. It kind of
reminds women that no guy is safe from the grasping claw of hairloss.

yea but the dude STILL is nice looking even without a full head of hair, so it
isnt bad on him. AS for the rest of us....
haven't seen him play yet, but I doubt he's in dire straits when it
comes to hair - he's always had very thick, curly hair. A situation
like that doesn't change very quickly, especially at his age.

I was watchin' yesterday and made the same observation.

I wish more people would follow the Agassi route and just shave or buzz
their hair short. Agassi shows how good it can look when it is extremely
short.

I'm not sure what age has to do with it. I have seen both young and old
people lose their hair slowly, and others who have lost their hair
quickly. To say that Sampras is in dire straits is sort of relative. If
someone who is a Norwood 6 saw him they might laugh at the fact that I
considered the hairloss signficant. But as a Norwood 1-2 or so, yes, I do
consider his hairloss significant.

Believe me, when Agassi goes to one of his time-wasting, celebrity parties, and
is shoulder to shoulder with hairy Jeff Bridges or Mike Douglas, he eats his
heart out.
When Catherine Zeta-Jones chooses a viagra munching Douglas over Agassi, he
sees what his hairline means, even with all his moolah.

As a NW 3 to 4.5 I consider it significant too. He has pretty serious
diffuse thinning, much worse than mine I'd say (though it's hard to
compare straight hair with curly) even if the frontal loss is less than
mine. His progression seems pretty swift - only first noticeable
perhaps a couple'a years back.
