Does anyone have any information on buying Propecia in Tijuana?? I plan to
go down tomorrow evening and have a few questions:
1. What are the prices?
2. Where is the best place to get it.
3. Is it the same product? (I don't want to buy sugar pills!)
4. How do I get it back across the border without a prescription, or do the
border police even care.
Anyone with experience buying Propecia in TJ please respond, your help is
much appreciated.

I just walked down Ave Revolucion and went pharmacia to pharmacia trying to
find the best price. I started at Ave Rev and Diaz Miron, and headed down the
street. I had been told that it could be obtained for $20 a month worth, but
every pharmacy I went to told me $40 flat, and that whoever told me it was
cheaper was full of it.
First off let me just advise you strongly against getting it in TJ. Why? Well
first off I spoke to several Pharmacists who work right near the border on the
American side who told me that his biggest business are Mexican Nationals
(Police) who come over the border to get their prescriptions because they do
not trust the dosage's put into the drugs purchased in Mexico.
Tijuana, from my experience, has been the biggest rip off, steal your money,
crime ridden shit hole near the united states that ive ever seen. I can
honestly say after over 30 visits there that over 70% of the people you see
there are out to rip you off, and this includes the pharmacies.
With all this in mind, I still wanted it for cheaper. So I bought it. within
a week, all of my side effects dissapeared. No more oily skin, dropped off
within 2 days, forehead bone dry. Sex drive returned to normal, headaches I
had gotten - completely gone. After about 20 days on the stuff, i noticed when
I opened up one of the metal wraps and took out a pill, there was a foul smell.
Just the kind of smell that medication has after being wrapped up for a long
time. However, propecia has never stunk in my experience and none of the
others did as well.
The box I got of propecia had already been opened, and contained no
warning/information material. Though it was in a Merck/Sharp& Dohm box, and
was fully wrapped in metal capsule thingies.
I would advise against getting TJ in mexico. Even though its made by Merck in
Portugal, there are no guarantees that what you buy is what you get. You have
no laws to protect you, and you sure as hell are buying it from a bunch of
people who would have no problem replacing Propecia with little M&M's.
What I suggest you do is if you have an HMO, do what I did. Go to a primary
care physician, you get a free visit. Tell them you want the propecia.
Period. They will prescribe it for you. If they don't, please just Email me
and ill get you the name of someone who will. Have them call it into Drug
Emporium ..... they carry the cheapest propecia in town - $47.85 a bottle....
and get it from them. You'll spent that extra $7 just driving into TJ and
paying for parking/gas. On top of it you'll have FDA approved dosages and all
of the USA laws to protect you.
By the way - yes its illegal to bring the propecia over the border with you if
you arent carrying your prescription paper with you at the time, but its not
hard to hide. I hid it in my glove compartment. If you have your prescription
paper, then you're fine though - completely legal.
Sorry this is so long and wordy.

$35 USD for 30 Proscar pills = (150 propecia pills)
> 2. Where is the best place to get it.
Shop around for best prices, but any pharmacy will have it. Don't get
the propecia though, its a rip off. buy proscar and split it.

Same stuff.

Stick it in your pocket or underwear or something. It's easy.

Before you buy.

I was quoted $59.00 for 30 Propecia at both pharmacies. I only pay $42 for
30 at WalGreens, so I said forget it.
I decided to get the Proscar instead. I was quoted $59.00 for 30 Proscar at
one Pharmacy and $55 for 30 at another. I ended up buying 60 Proscar and
they charged me $108. Great math skills. Ha ha.
Anyway, I figure if I cut the Proscar into quarters, I now have 240 doses
for $108. The equivalent Propecia, which I've been buying for a year, would
cost me more than $300 here, so it was well worth the two hour drive.
Getting them back accross the border was no problemo, as I just put them in
my pocket and walked back.
Jaded, I would love to know where you got the Proscar down there for $35.
Thanks for the help.

Also.... I have very very strong feelings including several folks who will back
it up that its not necessarily the same stuff.
You can get that for like $15 in the united states.
Jaded you lead him astray!!!!!!
And if you're paying $35 for Proscar (30 tablets) then you're getting ripped
off too...

Here's what I have done the last few times. Parked my car on the US
side, walked across. Went into the courtyard area before the green
pedestrian bridge; this is just right over the border. Over in the
corner of the courtyard opposite the green bridge there are public
restrooms. Right across from the restrooms there is a pharmacy. I went
in there and told them I would buy 3 boxes of Proscar for $105. Sold.
all done at 8:30 am. I walk back across by 9:30 after a corona. It has
worked at that place twice. I don't even bother shopping anymore. Often
it will be like $55 for a box if you just walk up and ask some pharmacy
on Revolucion how much. Thats not what I do.

In other words, you got 'em to go for
a "threesome", right? :-)

I disagree - the packaging, pill shape, etc all seem above board. Lets
not criticize Mexico on everything.
I would agree with you if the Mexican police themselves didn't advise against
it. I suspect they know more than either of us.
The easiest way is to park on the USA side and walk over. As soon as
you enter Mexico there are quite a few pharmacies, shop for the best
price. After you purchase your (personal supply) just walk back, if you
want to declare what you bought they could care less as long as it's not
a big supply.
P.S. When you go could you see if you can find DERCOS shampoo and email
me.

Exactly.
On Ave. Revolucion it is $40.
But again, ill say it, its not worth it when you can get it for $47 at Drug
Emporium in San Diego - College area on University avenue. Just take 8 east to
College Avenue, merge right on to college, go a couple miles and make a right
onto University. It will be on your left. $47.85 total, no tax involved. You
will only get it for $7 cheaper in Mexico and you have no assurance that what
you get is the real thing, on top of having to smuggle it over the border and
feel like an outlaw. :)
Proscar is $70 for 30 tabs at Drug Emporium by the way.
