Nimodipine - a calcium channel blocker that also raises serotonin

Has anybody on this site ever used Nimodipine for hair loss. Uniquely
it seems to raise serotonin but also act as a calcium channel blocker.

I took nimodipine for complicated migraines. It's a stroke drug. It is
very expensive. 3 weeks supply is over $1000. It made my face flush red as
a beet and made my heart race like crazy. It did make my brain "happy"
though. It really sends the blood up there. I'm sure that it would
increase circulation in the scalp, but not worth the cost IMO.

Thanks Mike, that's really interesting. Can I ask if you suffer and
hair problems, and if so, if you had any effects on nimodipine?

Can anybody confirm that Nimodipine is also unusual in that it raises
serotonin levels AND SHBG? This surely would be a very good thing.

Well, there is a reason why I'm here... ;-) Anyways, I couldn't stand
it.... it made me miserable.
