I was reading a book called "Edgar Cayce encyclopedia of healing".
Edgar Cayce use to go into trances and he'd prescribe medications for
illnesses. In the book they say that Crudoleum and Vaseline will grow
your hair back. Has anybody tried this, and has anybody had results. I
think I might give it a try and see what happens.

Cayce apparantly said that in a reading for a specific person. Coal tar
products are beneficial but will not cause complete regrowth.

T-gel shampoo will give you the same benefits as crudoleum. Its a really
pity that Cayce didnt predict Propecia and Rogaine though ;-)

That is only *part* of the protocol that he recommended and it was
recommended for specific people---not everyone in general. There was
also some kind of applicator and an electrical device. There was a
substance called atomidine (sp?) or something like that. It was
suppose to have some kind of effect on the thyroid gland which would
indicate something other than MPB---I would think. Some of the things
he recommended did work.

MY UNCLE USED VASELINE PETROLEUM JELLY AS A HAIR DRESSING EVERY DAY
FOR DECADES, AND NOTHING ELSE. HE WAS ABOUT A NORWOOD 3 FOR AS LONG AS
I CAN REMEMBER. HIS HAIR CHARACTERISTICS NEVER CHANGED UNTILL HE DIED.
SO OBVIOUSLY VASELINE DID NOTHING FOR HIM AS FAR AS REGROWTH WAS
CONCERNED.
I USED CRUDOLEUM (100% CRUDE OIL) FOR ABOUT A YEAR WITH NO RESULTS.
HOWEVER IT DID REMIND ME OF MY HIGH PERFORMANCE CAR, AS MY HAIR ALWAYS
SMELLED LIKE MOTOR OIL.
I BELEIVE EDGAR CAYCE ALSO SAID THAT SMOKING UP TO SIX CIGARETTES A
DAY WAS BENEFICIAL TO THE SYSTEM. COMMENTS?

Yes it is beneficial to the tobacco companies system. To the health care
& health insurance system it is also beneficial cuz we all pay higher
insurance premiums due to the knuckbeaks who smoke.About hair: smokers are
2x more likely to be balding and 4x more likely to have gray hair than
non-smokers.

Edgar Cayce said that it would not hurt you to smoke a cigarrette
occasionally if it was completely unadulterated--free of chemicals.

Edgar Cayce didnt have access to the biomed research of today.I cant
conceive of anyway smoking would be positive for the body, maybe pot
for glaucoma or something..

I looked in to Edgar Cayce treatments years ago, then I saw a picture
of him, bald as a coot. So he must have chosen not to take his own
advice.

I don't believe he ever said smoking was beneficial in any way.

Sorry, Cayce indeed did make such remarks, many times. They are
scattered about in various books on him. Below is an excerpt from one.
This is from page 427 of the 1988 edition of "The Edgar Cayce
Encyclopedia of Health' by Reba Ann Karp:

......"Cayce's comments on smoking seemed to apply to all, regardlesss
of age.
One of the more controversial aspects of his comments was, rather
than find tobacco smoking to be completely detrimental to health,
Cayce basicaly REGARDED IT AS POTENTIALLY BENEFICIAL IF DONE IN
MODERATION.......
While the definition of moderation varied somewhat with each
individual, THE BASIC RECOMMENDATION WAS FROM SIX TO TEN CIGARRETTES A
DAY. Cigarettes were specificallty prefered over pipes and cigars. If
the reference was to smoking a pipe, Cayce advised no more than two to
three pipefuls of tobacco a day."

Cayce was a questionable man. While researching this, I happened to
come across this multi-post "bit" on him. Check the whole thing out
for some more revelations into his past. Regardless if one agrees with
the author's opinions or not, it seems obvious that Cayce didn't care
to practice what he preached.

I've never seen that recommendation. I did specifically read an
excerpt that said that an occasional cigarrette would not be harmful
if it was unadulterated. He also said that there would be mistakes in
his readings. While I take it all with a big grain of salt, I'm
curious about the fact that he predicted the exact day and year of the
end of World War II. I also read that he talked about the ealiest
humans going back 10 million years or so when, at the time, the
accepted figures were in the thousands of years. He made reference to
the shifting of the poles...Mt. St. Helens would be the first to
errupt...drastic changes in the weather...severe natural catastrophies
etc...

I've been using Crudoleum for just over 3 months and no results yet. In fact it looks like more hair is falling out.
