A petition against Mandy's proposed bill to disconnect file sharers
without evidence or a trial:
http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/dontdisconnectus/sign

Even if you don't download files, they won't even need any evidence to
disconnect you if they fancy. But if they think they do have evidence,
maybe someone is spoofing your IP:
http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2008/06/laser-printers-found-guilty-making-available-crime

Or maybe a tracker other than the Pirate Bay starts injecting random IPs
into their torrents:
http://torrentfreak.com/the-pirate-bay-tricks-anti-pirates-with-fake-peers-081020/

Even if you didn't have an internet connection, the fact that the twat
wants to pass a law allowing people to be punished without evidence,
trial or appeal should be enough to get you to sign.

I don't know why they don't just throw people in prison without trial or
evidence if they're suspected of file sharing. After all, they have illegal
copies of stuff on their computers, it's not a huge stretch to imagine they
might have other questionable material.

Extend these proposals to link them in to RIPA and give the authorities even
more reason to nobble you for nothing, that's what I say.

And bringing things back to the topic of disconnecting suspected
filesharers:
