Vehicle Registration Numbers

Hi,

For UK Registrations I understand that the car registration plates are
closely associated with the place where cars are registered, I am
looking for a list which shows what towns are associated with each
number plate. ihave had a look at the department of Transports website,
but to avail. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right
direction?
