Window crank failure

Got any advice on repairing the "regulator" for the driver's side window
of a 93 Sentra? I took the inside panel off and saw that the regulator
(crank) that raises and lowers the window uses a cable, which broke.

It was easy enough to get to the problem, how hard is it to make the
repair?

drill out. Where the regulator hooks onto the window's bottom frame
is easy to get out with a bit of sliding back and forth of the
regulator. Getting a new replacement may be worth more that the car,
getting a used replacement at a wrecker means doing the removal twice.
See what you need for tools to get yours out and take those tools to a
wrecker if they don't already have one out for you.

Repairing the broken regulator is possible, but may not be cost
effective in time and resources and may not wok as well as a
replacement.

Replacing the rivets may be a big issue but most body shops would
likely hae the materials and or tools needed. Or you could use small
machine screws and nuts.

*rivets*. Jeesh! I'll take another look.

FWIW, there seem to be plenty of places like AutoZone selling
replacement regulators. Am I making a mistake here about the identity
of the part? It's the manually operated regulator for a 2-dr '93
SentraXE.
