Hi! What is the difference between Inline six engine and V6 engine? What are
pros & cons of each engines? With thanks

On an inline 6 all the cylinders are in a row.
On a V-6 there are two banks of three cylinders each side by side. If you
looked at the engine from the front the banks of cylinders are in the shape
of a V.
as far as pros and cons it depends on the engine. The inlines have been
around forever and usually perform well, but run a little rougher and than
the Vs.
i've had vehicles w/ both engines and was very happy with the performance of
both vehicles.

Assuming everything else was equal, the straight six would have
less vibration.

Con for straight 6:

1)Big one is weight. Inlines are usually heavier than V6s.
2)Probably not as reliable at higher rpms for long durations.
Seems to have always been some oil supply to top end problem
on most types over the years. It is harder to keep lifters
lubricated evenly in past designs.
3)takes up more space in engine compartment.
4)Don't sound as well (if you care about that)

Pros for straight 6:

1)Better torque at low end
2)Smother running
3)Probably better economy if geared right.

Just my opinon of course.
