Does anyone know if and when a Ford retiree will be able to buy Volvos under
the Z plan?

Don't think so Robert. I talked with a Ford dealer here in Canada because
my father is A plan... I'm Z I believe.

Volvos and Jags aren't on the list...

Regards,

Rob

A plan is for employees and their families. Z plan is for retirees and their
families.

Jaguars are available on A and Z plan, but not from a Ford dealer. Try a Jaguar
dealer if you want one.

Volvos certainly will be available on A and Z, but when is anybody's geuss. The
purchase
was only finalized this week.

I don't know that you will ever be able to buy a Volvo under the plan you
mention.
As Volvo is now only employees of Volvo, down to the dealer level, can buy
cars at substantial discounts during specified periods only. Plus, new
models such as the S80 are not available through any special plan.

How Ford handles this remains to be seen. I see that someone below mentions
that Jaguars are in the plan, which I believe as who would buy one of
those?
But, Volvo is a limited production, popular and high value car not lacking
for customers.

Thanks for the comments on the current Volvo situation. A few points you
might be able to clarify for me:
I am correct to understand that Volvo retirees are not eligible for any
special discounts
How long and frequent are the "specified periods"
What are the discount amounts
When would you estimate the S80 will be available on the employee plan

Your point about Jaguar is either comment baiting or your parochialism
overpowering your better judgement ;-)

Thanks in advance
