Once upon a time there was a lion that treated a mosquito very badly. "Hey you, insect," said the lion, "I don't care about your issues." Then the mosquito looked for his friends --a Band of Brothers-- and returned to nag the lion. "How do you like it now?" said the mosquito. "Oh I'm so sorry," said the lion, "I name you King of the Jungle." And peace reigned one more time upon the jungle. Moral of the story: NEVER DISMISS THE WEAK.

Did Jesus ever said something we can live by? "Turn the other cheek"... quite ineffective.

Mosquitoes do bite animals with fur. For example, the dog gets bitten by the mosquito and gets heartworm. Notice though that nagging doesn't necessarily means biting, since the noise made by the mosquitoes is the most maddening and can cause the lion to be sleepless and go mad.

On the other hand, the metaphor of the lion and the lamb is pretty silly, not only because it will never happen in real life, but also because the lion and the lamb do NOT occupy the same habitat in the wild.

What would Jesus say about it as a shepherd?

Capitalism creates lots of wealth but the quality of life of the mosquito is not what it should be. Visit the American jungle. Pretty crappy life.
