I was wondering if my 2002 Camry LE V6 (1MZ-FE) engine is an Interference or
non-interference design. That is if the timing belt breaks, do I incur
cylinder head damage (interference type) or just a loss of power but no head
damage (non-interference).
I plan on following the maintenance intervals that Toyota says but if I am
unable to get the belt changed at that time, I want to know what margin of
safety I have.
Thanks
Not an interference engine.
