Can somebody please tell me the largest size tire that can be fit
succesfully on a Subaru Loyale 4x4 '92 wagon. Those original tiny wheels
look simply ridiculous!!!!!! Unless you know a cheap place to get 14" rim
for old sub, please send me recommandations for the 13" rim only. I'm also
looking for all steel white 13" rims.

Thanks for you help!

Peugeot alloy rims for 505 and 505s models fit on your Loyale. They can be
pretty cheap if you find the right wrecking yard (get the lugs too since
they are about $10 each new!). There's some good information on wheels on
http://members.nbci.com/mick82/index.html. Good luck.

When it came time to replace the tires on the '92 Loyale I had, I chose to
go with 175/70 R-13s over the stock 165/70 R-13s. They worked out quite well.

If you want 14" (or larger) wheels, why not trade up to a Legacy instead of
trying to retrofit something?

The biggest I have had on my wagon is 185/70 R13 with no clearance
problems. Go to scorpion's website for info on lift kits and their
custom made 14" suby wheels http://www.powerup.com.au/~colfam/
