How do you suppose that the 2nd highest bidder made my bid go to the HIGHEST
bid I made, TO THE PENNY?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt that just a regular radio with a cassette
door with Studebaker screened on it?

Seems like the person overpaid for that radio to me.

They bid to the bid-increment threshold just below yours. Because your
remaining proxy (highest amount you were willing to pay) wasn't enough to
hit the next bid increment, it posted your highest value. If they (second
bidder) had bid one bid-increment higher, your proxy would have topped out
and he'd be the winner.

I understand WHAT he did, I just don't understand how he KNEW my top bid, to
the penny.

Oh well...no prob...I needed one for my Cruiser and this one was very cheap
compared to the one in SI catalog.

He was either a mind reader or it was a coincidence.
