While this place is a free for all anything goes forum......
I am finding that the recent influx of people on the 'other ' forum is
showing a trend that might make this place popular all over again...

Right now it has the stage, as the other one is in the
toilet again...
Sadly it can't ever be what it once was because so few ISP's support
Usenet anymore, so pretty much the only access most of us have is
through Google, and that means no pictures.
But it can be a lot more than it is.

I'm a member of five or six Google Groups and see some drop off, but
still enough posted to make a daily visit worthwhile

George,
I thought the archives were gone too. However, after playing around it
appears as tho they just changed the search function. I was able to
make it work by hitting the "search groups" button, then clicking on
the "advanced groups search" in the upper right hand corner. Besides
entering in your search 'words', you will also have to set the
"message dates" (I use the 'return messages posted anytime') and put
"alt.autos.studebaker" in the "Group" field.
For example, I searched this way on 'Jet Thrust' and returned 450
hits.
Hope this helps. I'm kinda 'puter slow, so it took me a while to
figure all this out <G>!

This place in it's heyday was like the Hangtown of Studebakerdom...
rough and ready but a lot of fun and it got the job done better than
anything before or since.
OK Jeffy, you started it...
Where is my lighter...<G>

Dareingly, I submit a Studebaker message.
What is the overall length and width (less mirrors) of a 1964 Comander
4-door sedan?

You know, it's been a long, long time since I've read a post by "He who's
name may not be spoken" here, you know, the guy who knew everything about
turbo-charging Studes.

We in central Texas are the latest victims of 10% ethanol
content gas. Fuel economy decreased by a like amount so that amounts to
a 10% increase in cost.
Thank You EPA!
