51 Champion

I have stuck my nose in here from time to time. As I have mentioned
before, I have owned Studebakers in the past and I am casually
looking for another.
This morning I looked a 51 Champion in downtown Baltimore, MD.
I have determined that this one is not the car for me. I thought I
would pass along the details as it might be the right car for a member
of this group. I spent several hours getting very dirty but had fun none
the less.
51 Champion, 2DR sedan (not a starlight)
Odometer shows 42K, engine starts and runs great.
Body panels are straight and clean, right front fender
has been replaced (replacement is rust free).
The trunk floor is solid.
The floor and area behind the left rear quarter is
not. It is repairable but more welding than I want
to undertake at this time.
The dash looks like new, headliner is good, seats
are rough but repairable, glass is good and windows
work.
The car is very complete and should find a happy home somewhere.
The owner was asking $2,800.00. I did not attempt to bargain with him,
as I have decided it is not for me. He has the car at his business. His

I am not representing this car any way. Just thought I would pass
along my find. By the way, I am looking for something with less
rust. I would rather do mechanical or interior work.
