I know the odds of this are pretty slim, but I'm sure many of you have
heard the current Red Roof Inn ads that are running on the radio.
Something seemed odd and really familiar about those ads. Then it hit
me, the guy sounds like the announcer in the 1965 Studebaker "Common
Sense Car" ads.

I know it’s been almost 40 years but it sure sounds like the same guy
(or his son?). Has anyone else noticed this or am I just crazy.

I'm a bit young to remember a voice on the radio nearly 40 years ago,
but knowing you're a regular in this NG, my bet would be you're just
crazy!!!

I'm not old enough to remember radio ads from 40 years ago either, but that
ad shows up here once in a while and someone has it on their website.

Well, not most ads but I can still hear the jingle from the Chicago Today
ads on WBBM and that had to be around 1967 or so.

It's the "voices" that force me to type what I type...
