I wonder how many slogans we can come up with that were in Studebaker
sales literature and advertising. I will start with this one.

"Built by father and son teams"

Since I got my Avanti and started collecting those ads, I've found some
neat ones that I didn't know about before. My favorite is:

"You'd need $13,000 and a ticket to Italy to find anything like it."

This may have been mentioned on someone else list I didn't see, but I
also remember this one on a printed ad--
"From the skyway comes their style, from the Speedway comes their
stamina"

My favorite was the "Different By Design" already mentioned.

Represented the fact they did not change body styles every year. Used
mainly in 1965 for the Canadian models, and may have been been used in 1966
too.

That's correct. They were trying to portray themselves in the same light
that VW was. Ie: no annual restyling.

It was a lame ad campaign..had they spent their ad money wisely in the
mid and late 50's and not kept the dealers constantly in the dark they
could have offered more variety and perhaps survived. With only the Lark
and Hawk to carry the flag from 59 to 62 there wasn't enough selection
to draw crowds to the showroom with check in hand...a full size family
car could have helped.Though the Lark was full size inside, the public
looked at it as a compact..perfect for a second car and in the late 50's
early 60's still bought bigger is better...look how many ugly assed fly
wing Chebby's were sold..still on the top of my ugliest piece of Detroit
trash ever list<G>
