Although this is a non-Stude application, I figure someone here might
have some insight...

We found a rear sway bar for our '57 Olds (88 Sedan) from Addco. Now
that we have heavy duty sway bars front and rear and are looking at
shock absorbers. The ones in there are tired. What should we look
for in a car that is going to be running high speeds over moderatly
shitty roads. I'm thinking that I should at least get whatever Monroe
makes in a heavy-duty gas shock for the application (again, '57 Olds
Rocket 88 Sedan). Does anyone have an better ideas?

I would suggest a Monroe Sensor-Matic shock...
They are nitrogen gas filled, and they have a neat valve ring that floats...
If things are smooth, then the ring allows for a smooth ride...
Oscillate the shock 9rough road) and the ring moves and it restricts the
valving, thus tightening up the shock.
Put them on the wife's car, and they are great.
For your particular application, you may need to take an old shock off, note
the and mount stules, measure the collapsed length and the full extended
length and go through their catalog....
Good shock for the money...
