Hi everyone. Here come the alky funny car questions....

There are several listings over the past few years for teams named "AM/PM
Racing." These include Bob Beatty in the '80s, Ken Felipe and Rick Brophy in
the early '90s, and now Tom Baumeister in '96 and '97 (in addition, I think,
to his own car). My question is, is there one AM/PM Funny Car team for which
these guys put in seat time? Or is AM/PM a sponsorship deal that these
disparate (not DESPARATE) teams have acquired? I'm just guessing, but AM/PM
sounds to me like a convenience store chain (like 7-11 means 7am to 11pm).
That leads me to believe it is just a sponsorship deal for the guys' own
cars. If NOT, can anyone tell me who owns/owned the AM/PM team and who the
crewchief(s) is/were?

Thanks!

Most recently, Canadian Tom Baumeister drove the car - a Dodge Daytona
he bought from Rick Brophy. He kept the AM/PM Racing name - don't know
if Brophy gave it up.

My dad, Steven Santos, worked on the AM/PM Funny Car. It was actually kept at our house! Ken Felipe drove it for awhile. From what I remember, Al Morton owned the car, but my dad, Steven, was the crew chief.
