Hi,

on my 1993 Saab 9000CS occurs an "Check engine" fault code, with one
flash at first and then three flashes. Its an trionic, but I can´t find
the explanation for the one on:

Greetings
Axel

I don't know what one flash is, but here's the rest of the list:

Number of flashes - Function
2 Manifold absolute pressure sensor
3 Temperature sensor, manifold
4 Temperature sensor, coolant
5 Throttle position sensor
6 Oxygen sensor
7 Adaptation
8 Purge valve (EVAP valve)
9 ECM, internal fault

The first "flash" isn't a flash, but only an indicator (for 6 secs):

Hi,
its one with an 0.4sec duration, and it appears as fault code one.

My guess is that it's one of the vacuum hoses has worked loose. That is
just based on my experience from my 174,000 1993 Saab 9000 CSE that this
is the most common "Check Engine" fault. A small hose near the manifold
had a split end, hence I cut an inch off and refitted. When it happened a
second time, I fitted a small length of extra hose with a stud in between
to connect the hoses. That has been a stable solution for many years now.

But beware that their could be more serious reasons for "Check engine",

In this case it's the manifold temp. sensor...
