No matter where Land Rover builds, they are always top notch! This
will be huge for Brazil and what a perfect place to manufacture such a
sporty SUV. LOVE IT!

Jaguar Land Rover's new plant in Brazil will build the new Discovery
Sport the British automaker announced this week. Jaguar Land Rover has
also just opened a new engine plant in the U.K. that will supply
four-cylinders for the new XE sedan.

The Discovery Sport will be one of the first models built at the
automaker's Itatiaia, Brazil plant when it opens in 2016. The new
facility, which starts construction by the end of this year, will be
the automaker's first wholly-owned manufacturing plant outside the
U.K. It will supplement Discovery Sport production at Land Rover's
main plant in Halewood, England, where the SUV has already been
rolling off the line since mid-October. By early 2015, the Discovery
Sport will go on sale in 170 markets around the world.

The Brazil plant will help Land Rover expand its presence across the
globe. To make sure of this, the plant will receive a cash injection
of $750 million by the end of 2020 to support production of a number
of models. It will be able to build 24,000 vehicles a year just for
Brazil, where Jaguar has become the nation's fastest growing luxury
brand.

Jaguar Land Rover is also strengthening its manufacturing operations
in its home country. A new engine plant opened in Wolverhampton, West
Midlands, England just this week. This plant will produce the
automaker's new Ingenium engine family starting early next year with a
2.0-liter diesel that is destined for the Jaguar XE. The plant will
also produce the company's next generation of four-cylinder gas
engines.

Along with its operations in Brazil and the U.K., Jaguar Land Rover
has recently expanded manufacturing in China through a joint venture.
Rumors also suggest that Jaguar is also looking to build a plant in
the U.S. in the near future.
