I was in my local salvage yard this past weekend and ran across a 1984
Crown Vic with the police package. It had a pretty heavy duty rear sway
bar. I was wondering if this sway bar would bolt up to my 1970 Ford LTD?
This car "rolls" on the turns. I was hoping if it would fit without too
much modification it might be a cheap p handling improvement. They seem
to have the same type of rear end.

Thoughts?

I meant that was a "1987" Crown Vic in the salvage yard.

Tom, not being a Ford man, but a junk yard scrounger, I'd suggest that you
try to find a station wagon of a little earlier year than an 87, they had
sway bars, as I recall. If you can't, take some digital photos and some
measurements of the 87. I doubt it will be a bolt in, but the weight would
be close. J. C. Whitney has adjustable end links for $22. You may have to
end up making your frame brackets and tweaking them. I'm running a late
model Grand Prix front sway bar on my Corvair. I like the front tight for
autocrossing,
Corvair Dan.
