I'm looking at buying a 85' 944. The car is in pretty good condition with
only 50,000km on the clock (from the interior I can believe it too!).
Anyway, I'm not familiar with Porsches so perhaps someone from this
newsgroup can help.

I noticed that there was a bit of wobble on the two drive pulleys attached
to the end of the crankshaft. It was quite easy to spot even by looking at
it.... is this common? is it a sign of a major problem? (This wobble did not
seem to translate to any significant vibrations when rev.)

Thanks your time and advice.

My advice would be to get a Porsche technician to look at it. I have
seen several cars lately and fell in love with them only to find out
from the report that impending doom was forecast that would put the
vehicle off the road until I had saved up enough money to have it
repaired.
Good Luck!
DG.

Do you know if it is an 85 or an 85 1/2? Just wondering.
