I have a 1983 Porsche 944 NA, I am getting no spark.
It was running fine untill its sitting in the carport for 10 years.
I have replaced the DME relay and the DME module.
I have power at the coil, coil has been tested to be working. I am
getting no power out of the middle of the coil/switching power at the
terminals.
I do not have an alarm system.
I will look at the speed and reference sensors but whilst I am
cranking the motor, I can't hear the fuel pump running which makes me
think it's not only the speed or reference sensors I should be looking
at. I have bridged the terminals at the DME relay and the fuel pump
works fine...
Is it normal for the fuel pump not to switch on during cranking if the
speed or reference sensors are faulty?
Does it need an oil pressure reading before sparking?
Thank you for your time
Luke

Re fuel pump - wire directly to the pump and see if it works before doing
much else - the usual culprit is a DME relay, they develop a bad solder
connection - cheap fix if you can solder
