It fires for a few seconds.
It will not start.
Attempted to keep running with accelorator. Will run for a few
seconds. When I release the pedal for a moment, car sputters to a
halt. I can hear flap in air flow meter clatter.
Other potentially associated issues: cooling fan runs non stop (had
to disconnect one as it was running down battery. Other starts as
soon as key is turned on.
Changed coolant temperature sensor attached to afm. (did not resolve
issue)
Thinking about fuel pump relay. Is there a relay in the block that
could be swapped to see if the relay is the issue?
Any other thoughts or considerations would be appreciated.
(Hoping not to change the afm and or dme)
Rick
there should be no "coolant sensor attached to AFM" what the heck are you
talking about? The AFM on your car uses an odd non-linear resistor and it
does have an air temperature measuring assembly included - there is a
rebuilt element available, and a FAQ for repair.
