Hello,

I am looking into purchasing a used 1995 or 1996 Nissan 240SX SE with a
5 speed. The reviews I have read are all very good, except for the
motor. I understand it has plenty of torque, but it is lacking in the
horsepower dept. What have you heard? How do you like this motor???? IS
the power satisfacitry for this car??? Does this 2.4 motor have any so
called "balls" in it at all? If I do purchase this car, will I be
wishing it had more power, or will I be satisfied with the way it moves?
Are you satisified with its power?????

I currently own a 81 Z-28 with a 350 Chevy. Of course, a 2.4 four wont
offer the same power/torque curve as a 350 Chevy, but does this Nissan
2.4 motor "have it" or not.

Thanks for your help!!!!

well I like motors with bottom end power and high HP numbers at high
RPM don't make a car fast.. I think they are good running cars that
don't have to have the crap wound out of them to go...

nah, bloody harsh motor by Nissan standard...power seemed alright though.

suppose most 2.4 4cylinders suffer the same problems..

Get a clue, the engine is the KA24DE. 155 horsepower, 160 ftlb torque.
Go to www.240sx.org and read all about it.

Get some manners, my post did pose a question as I was not sure of
the SXs engine. What I said still holds true of the Z24s.

Sorry Monark

I think I have to agree with Matt on this one...you post was a bunch of babble.  Remember, there IS such a thing as a stupid question.
