96 monte 3.4 stats fine but idle goes up and down from 1000 to 1500rpm for
a minute or two then dies. Drives ok and has lots of power but dies when
coming to a stop. Any ideas?

Hey Dylan....
It sounds like your MAP sensor or EGR valve (if you have one) Check
that out... if it's not those to, probably your ECM.
