I have a 2k3 OZ Rally 5spd Lancer.. I'd be interested in hearing what changes
you have made.

I think he's implying that it doesn't have enough power to carry the
name. He probably also fails to realize that they sell the mundane
versions in Japan as well. There is light at the end of the tunnel in
the form of a 170-180hp version coming out shortly after the Evo to
fill the HP gap and compete with the Nissan Sentra SE-R and it's ilk.

I was under the impression that the JDM Lancer was a FWD model as
well. Hmm.. Sorry bout that. The FTO was/is. Another car we don't get
here. As for the teasing of the Evolution I'm still debating whether
to get mine in red or white and will probably go with the sunroof
(okay, blasphemy but I gotta have the roof) and the high wing. Only
two options are high wing or low wing and whether or not you want the
sunroof. At least that's all we have on our order codes. :)
Hopefully by June I'll have it. The first couple are already holding
deposits over sticker. (sigh)

It's a nice ride to be sure. I saw a new Cobra in the dark blue with
grey interior and it was very sharp. I'd not mind one, but it's just
not the car I'd rush out and spend my money on. I just don't like and
can't fit comfortably in the Mustang's interior... Bang for the buck,
however, it's one of the best buys on the planet right now. Of course,
the fact that you CAN run out and get it right now helps a lot of
people. heh

Thanks, thats why i didn't buy one.

a mitsu is a mitsu - not the greatest of reliable auto name plate
around. it may be a different car but the performace or lack there of is
still the same (120hp model)
>Thanks, thats why i didn't buy one.
wow even smart enough to recognize sarcasm!
hey have you ever heard of buying a car for style not performance? guess
not! oh and by the way for the car classification that it is slotted for. it
is right on par as far as performance. here is the specs for a civic
Features DX LX EX
Engine Type In-Line 4-Cylinder In-Line 4-Cylinder In-Line
4-Cylinder
Engine Block/Cylinder Head Aluminum-Alloy Aluminum-Alloy
Aluminum-Alloy
Displacement (cc) 1668 1668 1668
Horsepower @ rpm (SAE net) 115 @ 6100 115 @ 6100 127 @ 6300
Torque (lb.-ft. @ rpm) 110 @ 4500 110 @ 4500 114 @ 4800
Matter of fact the lancer is actually has more torque than a civic and felt
that way when I test drove both
horsepower 120@5500
torque 130@4250
so unless you own a lancer and have something to actually talk about other
than putting Mitsubishi down don't post in here please

"wow"? Glad you've learned a new word this week. 4-letter word next

ok you answered your own question, and stop making excuses for your
pathetic buying decision.

There ya go, the lancer has more displacement (2L vs 1.7L) than the
civic - thats why the lancer feels slightly more torquer. is that so
complicated for you to understand? you also failed to mention the 2
litre civic si. i wonder why....
>so unless you own a lancer and

awww.. whats the matter, can't take criticisms?
Chrysler used to have the "Lancer" name copyrighted, thus the name change to
"Mirage" in the U.S.
The name "Lancer" has no performance connotations to it until the word
"Evolution" follows it.
