does anyone know if i can marry up a 1000cc mini gear box to an mg metro
1300cc engine or has anyone got for sale and gear box off a mg metro 1300cc
Yes.
With the exception of some early (non synchro) boxes, all Mini manual
motors fit all Mini manual gearboxes.
Similarly, all Mini Auto motors fit all Mini auto gearboxes, but manual
motors on auto boxes and vice versa do not fit.
so even though its an mg metro engine it will definately fitt

Well, there are Metro motors, but they're the ones that don't even look
like Mini motors - the larger ones.

An A series or A+ motor in a Metro isn't a Metro motor, it's just a Mini
motor doing time until someone has a Mini ready to receive it.

A K series, or whatever the hell the other motor in a metro is, is a
"Metro motor", since it won't fit a Mini.
Had a bad day Graham?
