several have asked about karting in New York and/or Pittsburgh... if
you're interested in enduro racing (on sports car tracks), this weekend
will be a World Karting Association national event at Summit Point Raceway
in Summit Point, W.Va. (about an hour's drive west of Washington, D.C.).
Reachable by a lot of karters from Pittsburgh area and all of Northeast.
You should be able to find sprint tracks in just about any area (World
Karting Association in Harrisburg, N.C., has a kart track directory
available). At Summit Point, we'll be practicing all day Friday and racing
all day Saturday and Sunday. Should have somewhere in vicinity of 400
entries (might be largest national enduro race in the nation this year;
our club events are larger). If you're seriously interested in enduro
racing, e-mail me your address and I'll send you some literature our club
has prepared.
