I have the bottom model 4 cyl. 99 Accord LX. I'm gettin 300 miles to a tank
of gas. I heard it should be 400. Is this correct?

It is entirely dependent (almost 100%) on your type of driving style. If you drive like my wife
(foot right into it until she's fifty feet away from where she has to stop), your mpg will
suffer. If you anticipate your driving requirements, your mpg will noticeably be higher.

I've got a 98 Accord EX 4cyl, manual transmission. I ussually get 350
miles to the tank. It all depends on whether I really want to keep up
with the traffic or let it go by. With the higher gas prices, I'm
leaving just a tad bit earlier. I ussually get it in 5th gear as early
as possible and treat the gas peddle like an egg. Then, I get around
400. Make sure the air filter is clean, and the engine is in good
shape. Use a quality gasoline too, that seems to help. And as always,
keep those tire properly inflated.

Depends on the area also. In the colder weather, they put something in the gas which reduces the
mileage. When I had my 95 Accord (4 cyl.) I think I got about 22/gal on average. As Scott stated,
alot has to do with the traffic also.
