Anyone know of a method to remove masking that's been sticking to the chrome
portion of a t-top, it seems to have been on there for years. I tried to
peel it off, but jus a lil comes off. Any ideas on chemicals that won't
damge the chrome/fibreglass.

Thnks

I've used WD-40 in the past to remove tape from the chrome and painted
surfaces
of my cars and it works fine without damaging the surface. Just spray some
on the tape and then rub off with a damp sponge or cloth.

Paint thinner AKA mineral spirits works fine. Good on bumper stickers,
too.

Note: If this car has been out in the elements, and the tape is still on
it, it prolly ain't masking tape.

Paint thinner? Is this a joke? Well _I_ hear that brake fluid works really
well, too! (: (:

Masking tape left in the sun for a few days will last
through ANYTHING! I think the real question is, is this
really chrome? Metal, not the plated plastic? If so, then
mineral spirits, AKA, paint thinner, is a good choice.
Another is a product called GooGone. If it is NOT metal, try
it very sparingly.
