Can anyone diagnose the problem or clue me in on additional things I
might check?
Thanks in advance,
Ken

AAG scores again! GM couldn't have made the power steering fluid
harder to check if they tried (I could have used arms about 18 inches
longer), but after finally getting to it, it was definitely low.
It shouldn't have gotten that low in a year if nothing was wrong so I
took it in to the dealer for warranty work. (Had to take half a day
off to do it, too, since my new job is in exactly the opposite
direction.) But they replaced a leaky check valve. Thanks, guys, you
were right on.

It's hidden pretty well. Under the alternator, there's a manifold
with two hoses coming out of it. The power steering reservoir is
right under that manifold. If you remove the brace that runs across
the back of the engine compartment, then you can reach it from behind.
I'd let the engine cool off, though.
