Hi,

I have played a bit with the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic on my Ford Focus.
Unfortunately, there is something wrong with my battery, as the computer returned this error code to me: DTC 9318.

According with the explanations found on this internet page
http://personal.riverusers.com/~miracerros/mustang/2000_HEC.html
there is something wrong with my battery ==> Battery Voltage Low.

What does this mean: the battery is close to its lifetime or the alternator doesn't work as it was supposed to ?
The led indicating any problems with the alternator is OFF, so where the problem might be ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Focus..

I get this code sometimes. Sometimes, the code comes up, then I restart
the car then it is gone. My alternator died around 29,000 miles. But
the DTC code came up before and after the alternator was replaced. Don't
take it as an official reading.

2001 Focus ZX3 41,000 miles
