Hi!

My Fiat Palio's engine oil cap reads "Olio Fiat" in the trapezoidal
Fiat style. While I understand that olio probably means oil in
Italian, but a search on the internet seems to suggest that the term
"Olio Fiat" has some other significance for Fiat, but I'm unable to
understand what. I also found some websites selling stickers of the
Olio Fiat logo.

Can someone please explain? Thanks!

Debarka

Olio Fiat is the oil manufactured by Fiat Lubrificante. Yes, Fiat are in
the oil business as well. The Selenia Oil 20K and other Selenia oils are
all part of the same Olio Fiat/Fiat Lubrificante company/product range.
Also closely related to Magneti Marelli group.

Hope this helps

Thanks Nick!

That was interesting information! My manual recommends VS Max made by
FL Selenia. Didn't know Olio Fiat was another name for the same.

My oil cap also reads this. Nice to know what it means!
