Anyone know of a good source for adding power door locks to my 2000
ram? Something easy to install and reliable and will work with a
keyless entry alarm system?

Well,
Being a bit lazy myself I had it done at an alarm place (Alta Mere)in
OK on my older Dakota. I know that the folks at Best Buy (Stereo Shop
and Alarms) also install them. If you interested in doing them
yourself, wander into Best Buy and ask the sales guy about them. Last
Time I was there they had a display set up and the Solenoids for it
were there in easy view. I'm sure you could get the same solenoid from
almost any electronics store.

Hope this helps,
Scott

PS: All of these should work with a keyless entry alarm, and most
good alarm places will install the new door lock solenoids to an
existing remote.

Just did mine this weekend. I got them from J.C. Whitney. 59$ They went in
pretty easy. About 2-3 hours. Just make sure you line up the actuator rods
in line with the existing door lock rod. If their is any tension it puts
stress on the actuator. That was the hardest part for me. Oh yeah the
wiring kit was short in length for the passenger door. I had to splice
about 18 inches. Wasn't a problem. As for quality, only time will tell.

Huff, not sure if you found what you are looking for yet or not. But
check out this web site, they should be able to set you up with any
power add ons you want, from doors, to windows, to tailgate locks.
