Can anyone tell me what's involved in upgrading a 98 Ram Sport with the
99 quad headlights? My son says they will fit and I've heard that the
wiring harness needs to be replaced.

Did the 94-98 Sport Rams use standard lighting? You can get a kit to mount
Sport Ram 9004/9007 headlamps in a standard '94-'01 Ram here:

way down the page under Headlamp Relay Installation Kits. Is this what you
are looking for?

They bolted in but I had to get the plugs (junkyard) and wire them in to a
relay. The switch was getting hot carrying 4 lights.

Spoke with the Daniel Stern folks and this is exactly what I needed to
know. From another poster I learned that they are an exact fit but
required some rewiring to avoid overheating. The Stern kit ($75) has
everything to make the conversion work.
