Why is 2018's lineup the best competition between the two flagships? Because Google and Apple have both eliminated the notion of an inferior smaller phone, as the Pixel 3 and iPhone XS are virtually the same as their bigger XL and Max counterparts. The only things that are different between the smaller and larger models are display size and battery size.

However, the Pixel 3 does have one more "advantage" over the iPhone XS: no display notch. And while it does have a larger forehead, the difference between the screen-to-body ratio is much smaller than in previous years. As a result, you still get a relatively small overall size and no unsightly notch. Also, the Pixel 3 has more traditional 2160 x 1080 resolution which will easily display videos using the 1080p format comparable to Apple's untraditional 2436 x 1125 resolution.

While it appears Apple might have gotten more wins in this battle of small flagships, Google got the biggest win in price and has really upped their photo processing game. By offering a phone that's within striking distance of the iPhone XS at $200 cheaper is an amazing feat. What do you think about these two phones? Which one will you be getting? Let us know in the comment below.

RCS stands for Rich Communications Services, and was chosen in 2008 to potentially replace the SMS texting standard that is from the 1990s. Compared to SMS, RCS can support more multimedia features on messages and make it easier to send things like GIFs and hi-resolution videos, and also make group messaging better. The reason why is because RCS operates over the internet, not on a carrier's bandwidth. Text messages sent with RCS would work like iMessages between iPhone users, according to The Verge.

Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook said he doesn't get a lot of feedback from iPhone users that Apple needs to fix messaging between iPhones and Androids. Apple doesn't have much incentive to do so, either. In legal documents from a 2021 lawsuit between Epic Games and Apple, an Apple executive said "Moving iMessage to Android will hurt us more than help us."

Clash Royale comes from the creators of Clash of Clans and is a mixture of a battle card and tower defense game. Opponents draw attackers and defenders from their deck of cards, with the aim of destroying the competitor's towers before your own are destroyed.

Battlelands Royale is a battle royale game similar to Fortnite and PUBG, but doesn't require as much strategy or a high-end device. It's great for short bouts of gaming with a friend, who you can team up with online through the game in its duos and squad modes.

Coke vs. Pepsi, UPS vs. FedEx, and Netflix vs. Amazon are all some of the greatest rivalries of all time. But no list of competitors would be complete without the head-to-head battle of the smartphones: Android vs. iPhone. Some differences between the two are obvious (cough cough, green text bubbles). But the real differences go far beyond the cosmetic. From facial recognition and customer service to malware vulnerability and system accessibility, these are the seven biggest things that set Androids and iPhones apart.

Apple has a closed system, which means you can only download software and apps through Apple itself. However an open system, like Google's Android, can be downloaded from and paired with many different sources and apps.

Thanks to differences in design, worldwide popularity, and exclusivity, the iPhone has developed a prestigious reputation associated with designers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and celebrities.
