The main Visone Corvette store is right down the street from me on Route 1,
in Saugus, MA. I know the owner, Mr. Visone, and his house is as big as
ever (must feel good buying stuff from the Vette owners he screwed over).
The store looks like it's closing. The number of Vettes is going down by
the day, and the sign isn't lit up at night anymore. They maybe have 1/3
the # of Vettes they used to have inside.

Something else about those guys - they have a Yellow C4 (looks like an 84 or
85) outside. It's got flat tires, messed up headlights, misaligned hood,
shitty paintjob, crappy rims and it's a POS. They have huge sign bungee
corded to the top of that car. I dunno if it's supposed to be an ad or
something, but it's not good for business. I noticed today that the sign
must have blown over and smashed into the winshield of said Corvette... sad
sad sad.

I'm glad to see 'em go though.. they were the epitome of sleazy businessmen.

Here's the scoop...
Mr. and Mrs Visone are in the midst of divorce proceedings. Mr. Visone
attempted to hide his assets from the court and his dealership was immediately
closed and placed under receivership. Any questions can be directed to Angelo
Gomez, Middlesex County (Massachusetts) Probate Court.
And that's the way it is...

In May, 2006, Visone pleaded guilty to filing false income tax returns and went to prison for a while.

I got ripped off there in 1992---and it STILL bothers me today. I was trading in my boat for a vette and the salesman actually called the place where I bought the boat and identified himself as a police officer and said that I was in jail because they thought I had a stolen boat. The boat dealer sent them a fax with the title and they sold me the vette. The vette turned out to be a total piece of junk with a wiped cam and 100 thousand more miles than they claimed. I spent almost 8 grand getting that thing running again and it still never ran right. I hope the bastard stayed in jail for a long time for filing false taxes. They were really sleazy people.

I know I worked there the last few years. In a nutshell an 18 year old Saugus high school girl was his doom.
I wont tell you her name because we became close friends and she told me "everything'.
The other part was that the corvette world or fame was fizzing out to luxury 4 doors believe it or not.
The Lexus and Mercedes become more impressive .
