Later,

I have a '73 - I followed the entire wiring diagram and NOWHERE does it tell
you where this thing is. It says it's on a pink/white and purple wire. It
drove me nuts until I later remembered having taken off the PASSENGER side
panel, that the Turn Signal Flasher is actually behind that panel, right
next to the air vent! It's just on a little metal clip (if your '76 is like
my '73) and has a pigtal connector on it. It's nowhere near the fusebox. I
have no idea why they did it this way but that's where it is!
Hope it's the same and this helped!
Ken
Just like on Ken's '73, my '77 has the flasher on the bottom right corner of
the passenger dash panel near the vent (keep in mind that you don't have to
remove the panel to get to it). I remember a flasher unit being there when
I replaced my heater core, but I wasn't sure what it was there for until I
looked it up in my shop manual because I have an similar flasher under the
center console. I just looked through the shop manual and found that one is
the anti-theft flasher. The shop manual is a great resource (its only
drawback is that it has no index).
Good Luck,
Jerry '77
