Does anyone have any experience with removing front fenders on a 1969
Camaro. I need to remove the right front fender from my 1969 camaro and I
am wonder how big a job I am getting into? How difficult is it to remove
and then re-align when putting it back on? Is there a certain sequence to
follow when removing the hardware? Any paticular things to watch out for?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Taking the front fender off should not be too big a problem for you. You
might want to use a penetrant on all the nuts and bolts before starting. If
you live in the rust belt you might have a problem with the bolts and J-nuts
that attach the fender to the inner fender. If they spin, just cut off the
bolts and replace with new when going back together. Realignment should not be
a problem to you. Good Luck

Gary,

Its not a bad job at all to do. Make sure to mark what nuts go where
and what shims go where and how many. Scrib the hood so you can put it
back in the same location.
Just a question? Are you replacing the heater core? Is that why your
taking off the right or passenger side fender? If so. you don't have
to pull the fender off completely. You can get access to all the nuts
just by pulling it off a bit. If its for something else, I would
think about replacing it anyway. They are short money and who wants to
do that twice!
