I do not post often, but I Lurk a lot...
I think I just got ripped for $25 for a heater
control Valve for a '78 Camaro.
The guy claims he sent it, but it's no show for about a month.
He claims he sent it USPS. Then it's UPS, Now its USPS with
no receipt.
Anyone here can vouch for Glenn Wright?
If not, then ALL AOL'ers go into my trash bin.
Bill Cleary
Bill,
He's a complete fraud in my opinion. My opinion is based upon the following
evidence: According to the admins at www.nastyz28.com he placed the VIN and
cowl tags from a 1972 Camaro on his 1970 Camaro standard coupe, then turned
around and auctioned it on eBay as a "numbers matching" 1972 RS/SS (they say
he added an RS front end, too). One of the admins sold the car to someone
else, who in turn sold it to Glenn. It was auctioned on eBay within the
last 5 or 6 days.
If you sent him money through the mail file fraud charges on him. It's a
federal offense to accept money through the mail and defraud the public. He
will either cough up the part or the money in a hellfire hurry when the
Postal Inspector knocks on his door. If you paid via PayPal, file a claim
with them that you never received the part. If they do not refund you, go
to your credit card company and dispute the charge. He will receive a
chargeback because he cannot prove that he sent the part without a tracking
number or signature.

Mr. Floppy
You can buy any heater control valve at a local parts store. I think they are a
bit less than 25 bucks for a common application like a Camaro.

We deal with FedEx, UPS, and USPS every day. If he sent it UPS, he has a
tracking number, same with FedEx and if he sent it USPS and just shoved it
in a bag, and sent it, there is no telling.
However, if he sticks to hsi story about using the Postal Service, nail the
guy on federal fraud charges...very easy.
How did you pay??

Better do a search on that...from what I saw, its not pretty.

nah...not all are complete wastes of space.
Some earthlink users are worse....:)

I guess I should have been a bit more on the ball.
He DID respond with a jpg of the part and was
honest enough sounding... He DID require a money order,
and that should have been my first clue.
The AOL address should have been the second alarm bell, but I
am the trusting sort.
It did not occur to me that he responded directly to me rather
than the newsgroup (which would have raised another red flag).
So,
Mr Asshole... Keep my $25 and go to hell knowing that you have
stolen my money. I can only hope that the steak you buy with
your ill gotten gains rots a hole in your appendix, and bursts.

Bill,
Please nail this S.O.B. Someone needs to do it. Might as well be you.
Fraud is fraud is fraud. Verify that the money order was cashed by calling
the issuer, and then file the fraud form that you will find here:
http://www.usps.com/forms/_pdf/ps8165.pdf
He took your money and did not supply the product. He ripped you off. If
you let him get away with it, he will do it to someone else. DO NOT STAND
FOR IT!!!!! NAIL HIM!!!!

Mr. Floppy
I will take your advise and see what comes up.
I will keep the newsgroup up on what happens.
Bill
(I still hope his appendix bursts!)
