I have a 94 BWM 325is and just today the passenger side power window
stopped lowering. When I pressed the switch, I would hear a little
click sound at the door and a little flicking of internal light with
the engine off but no movement at all. Neither would the window move
when I open or close the door.
The driver side window works fine so I assumed this is not a fuse
problem. Can some confirm whether both windows operate through the
same fuse? I lost the fuse box label so have no idea which fuse
operates what. (Any idea where to find the listing? It's not in the
owner's manual.)
I tried switching the driver and passenger side window switch and the
problem continue so it doesn't seem like a switch problem. I read
discussions elsewhere on this group about the motor magnet problem but
in those cases the motor does move a little before stopping. Can
anyone shed some light on this? I was going to open the door panel and
do some checking but couldn't find the instruction on opening the door
panel. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

remove trim around inner door handle by sliding forward or backward - I can
never remember which way but it is just little hooks. Pull the mirror
control out and there is a screw, probably torx behind there. Check the
armrest - it seems to me I remember there are sometimes screws there - they
may have plugs over the holes, but they should be right behind the pull
handle, 2 of them, probably philips. Now yank - gently....
Pull the bottom and sides of the panel out away from the door - it is
clipped in, don't break the plastic clips. Then lift upto get the top edge
loose - carefull here, the door panel will tend to fall apart here, and not
where it 'clips' together... Now unplug the speakers, courtesy light, etc
and throw the door panel in the trunk so it wont be damaged (if it survived
removal). You will be tempted to not bother the wires, cuz you are just
looking right now - if you let it hang, and you DON'T Pull a wire out of a
conector, the panel will get in your way and you will break it or a speaker
anyway. now you see a sheet of black foam. Pull at the edges, carefully,
don't tear it, you HAVE to put it back, or it will have wind noise and
drafts, etc. Now you see the window motor and regulator. The regulator is
rivited in and the motor screwsd in from the back side of the regulator,
which you can't get to cuz the door is in the way. DO NOT EVER TRY TO
REMOVE THOSE RIVETS WITH THE WINDOW DOWN - you will be buying a new window.

Should be listed in the bottom of the fusebox lid, which is in the left side
of the engine compartment. It is a sticker - you can get it at the dealer
really cheap.
If the other windows work, it is not the fuse. Unless you can hear noise
when you hit the button (I forgot your original description - sorry), try
swapping buttons front to rear or side to side. They just pop up out of the
console and unplug.
