Today the digital clock on my '95 325i just stopped working, for no
reason that I can tell. It was fine going into work this morning, and on my
way home it wasn't displaying the time. Does anyone know what's wrong with
it? It looks (to me) like the display isn't lit up at all. Is there a fuse
that I can reset or an easy way to fix it without replacing the entire OBC?

(A coworker bought a '96 328is this week and he has the same problem, so
I'd imagine that this is a fairly common thing on older 3-series...?)

Thanks in advance,
Daniel.

Hi Daniel

Most likely just the bulb blown, especially if the rest of the display is
OK.

I had to remove the OBC on my (South African) '94 325 the other day to
fix a broken key. I saw there are four plastic inserts on the front
top of the OBC which I assumed to be light sockets. I haven't
investigated so I may be wrong, but it might be worth the while to
investigate as it is quite easy to slip the OBC out of its position.

Hope it will help

Markus
