So far, I have not been able to find the information so I am looking for a
little net.knowledge.

The drivers side headlight wiper on my 190E seems to be a little confused.
It parks pointing straight up on the outside edge of the headlight. The
passengers side parks at the bottom of the light like it should.

Shouldn't it be stopped across the bottom of the light in the park position?
Any ideas out there on how to fix this?

Yes indeed your drivers side wiper should park in the bottom portion of
the headlamp, does the motor still work ? , if so remove wiper blade
assembly from motor and re-attatch in correct position.

Ummm - won't this cause the wiper blade to clean the area *below* the
headlight? I'm thinking that the problem is elsewhere...

I know what you mean, but what I am suggesting is that you remove the
blade assembly first, operate the wipers to park them and then re-
attatch the blade/arm. May well have a siezed motor.
